Registration is open for Move for Mental Health: Every Move Matters, a free, ten-week virtual physical activity program held each spring and fall through the Healthy Franklin County. In partnership with the Franklin County Library System, participants will track their progress using the library's Beanstack platform, making it easy to log activity, monitor achievements, and stay engaged throughout the challenge. Participants will use the Beanstack app to log physical activity, convert movement into miles, earn digital badges, and celebrate accomplishments. The program runs from September 13th through November 8, 2026.
Perfect for all skill levels. Beginner friendly. Our goal is movement for everyone!
Participants can engage in virtually any form of movement, including walking, running, cycling, swimming, dancing, gardening, fitness classes, strength training, yoga, sports, and more. Activities are converted into miles.
Program Benefits
Throughout the challenge, participants will learn:
How physical activity supports mental wellness, reduces stress, and improves overall health
The benefits of setting achievable weekly movement goals
How to incorporate movement into everyday routines
How different forms of movement can be converted into miles so that every activity counts
Participants will also receive weekly wellness emails featuring motivation, healthy lifestyle tips, mental wellness resources, and strategies for staying active throughout the challenge.
How It Works
Because this is a virtual program, you can be active wherever and however you choose, whether that's at a park, fitness center, trail, neighborhood, workplace, school, or in your own home. All participants must register in order to be eligible for prizes. Join whenever you’re ready. Registration remains open. All participants will be expected to log their miles (using the movement conversion chart).
Sign up for your free Beanstack account. (Beanstack can also be downloaded from the app store). Search for your local library (example Coyle Free Library) to access the Franklin County Library System’s Beanstack program(s). If you prefer a paper version to track your movements or would like someone to submit your miles for you, please contact Sarah Applegate at sapplegate@fclspa.org.
Log your activities weekly or at your convenience. Now you’re entered to win prizes!
Share with friends, family and co-workers.
Participant Incentives
Stay active, track your progress, and be rewarded! Participants who complete the full ten-weeks Move for Mental Health program will automatically be entered into a drawing for a variety of wellness prizes. Every badge you complete you get a ticket entered into the prize drawing of your choice.
Potential prizes include:
Fitness trackers (Fitbit or similar devices)
Weighted vests and ankle weights
Resistance bands

If you complete the program you automatically get entered to win a Hershey Park Giftcard $50.

Every Move Matters is a part of the Move for Mental Health campaign which promotes the benefits of physical activity on mental health while increasing awareness of local free and low-cost community resources and supports.
